Do not be confirmed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.

Today's daily devotional is on ✦Romans 12:2(ESV), which says "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Oftentimes, as we are going out and about in the world, there are a variety of influences that the world has on us. The things that we see and hear all around us can have a profound impact. Certain forms of media and entertainment can send messaging that can cause us to turn away from the path of righteousness. It is important to stay well alert as the devil is prowling like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour ✦1 Peter 5:8(ESV).

It is of utmost importance to continually immerse our minds in Scripture, such that we are more aware of what God's will for us is, as we are blown to and fro in the storms of life. Our anchor must be in the figure of Jesus; only then is our house built on the rock, rather than on the sand ✦Matthew 7:24-27(ESV).
